2016 Hustler Raptor 52 Limited Mower Review

Unit runs strong and handles well. Cut is ok not great (misses blades for no apparent reason?). Controls are easy to use and simple.

Only gripe is the unit itself seems too light in the front and bounces quite a bit even over relatively smooth surface.

I'd give it a B grade. I'm comparing this to my older Sport 42 which was terrific.

Hustler FasTrak NEW
by: Anonymous

For what it is worth, had a similar problem with cutting smoothly (with my 2003 Hustler FasTrak, 52" deck, 20 hp Honda engine), and used to overlap the passes by about 10" each, which gave me a smoother cut at the price of having to cut more/spend more time on each mowing.

Within the past year, a Hustler dealer mentioned to me that when the tips of the blades get rounded from repeated sharpening (from an L shape to more of a U at the tips), that some of the preciseness of the cut is degraded. Since I had also managed to bend the blades a bit on rocks over the years, I had him put new blades on, and it is once again cutting like a champ.
