Cut: Rating B The cut is acceptable, but not great. This is the weakest point of an otherwise great machine. Hustler reveals its new XR-7 deck this year. Hopefully, it will live up to the hype. Durability: Rating B+ A very tough machine. Well thought out. The Super WalkBehind is a relatively new machine, so it is not as tried and true as Scag and Exmark. However, it has held up very well in commercial use.
Handling and Balance: Rating B+ The H-Bar steering system is excellent, easy to use, and takes stress off the hands and wrists. The mower handles great. Machine only fell short of a “A” due to its long length. When a mower is too long, it hinders maneuverability. It’s ironic that this walk behind is too long while their Super Z zero-turn rider is very short and nimble. Maintenance and Ingenuity: Rating B+ A strong B+. Very well thought out design. Very little daily maintenance. Easy to work on.
