Redmax offers several trimmers in this cc range that are extremely similar. Therefore, they are being ranked together.
Weight to Power: A
Redmax did their homework on getting a lot of power out of small engines. These new strato charged engines are very powerful, dependable, and light weight. The only drawback is that they requires about 20-30 sec to warm up when cold.
Comfort: A
Well balanced and lightweight.
Durability: B+
These trimmers are built for the pros and they last a long time with minimal problems. The old pre-strato charged Redmax trimmers were some of the most durable two cycles ever. The new statos are still great, but not as good as the old ones. This may have to do with the stratos being built to run cleaner in order to pass the new EPA requirements.
Ease of Start: A
Very easy to start. Again, they do need to be warmed up for 20-30 sec when cold.
Value for Money: B+
A good value. They can be pricey due to their great reputation. They hold their resale value especially if you are selling your old equipment on Ebay.
