The Shindaiwa string trimmers T231 & 261 are so similar that they are being rated together. The only real difference is about 5 cc's.

Weight to Power: B+

Both solid two cycle engines. Plenty of power. Some power mongers could ask for more.

Comfort: B+

Very low vibration and smooth running. To pass emissions, a catalytic converter (stone in the muffler) was added.

Durability: B+

A tough unit with little to no problems to speak of.

Ease of Start: A

Very easy to start. No wait to warm up, unlike Redmax.

Value for Money: B

Depending on your dealer, these units are often pricey. However, they are tough and are used all over the world.

Shindaiwa Trimmers on Ebay

Here are the Shindaiwa trimmers that are currently listed for sale on Ebay. I’ve found some great deals there. And I've sold a ton of old equipment through it.

If you aren't already a member of eBay, you need to go to the registration page before you can bid, buy, or sell anything.
