Weight to Power Ratio: B+

This is a 4 mix motor (2+4 cycle hybrid). It runs on regular mix. Stihl kept the weight down at 20lbs. While lighter than the Redmax 8000 blower, the difference in power is substantial. This machine does blow as hard as the Redmax 7001, which is still pretty good.

Comfort: A

Ergonomically well thought out and comfortable. Easy to take on and off. Very well balanced.

Durability: B+

While fairly new to the market, it's holding up well. Time will tell just how well. Valve adjustments can be an issue. Look for a dealer who will be able to handle this unless you are not mechanically inclined.

Ease of Start: B+

Starts easily. However, if you are having difficulty starting, the problem is likely that the valves need adjusting.

Value for Money: B+

Usually sells for $440-500 depending on location. They are a nice buy. Well thought out and comfortable. A little more power would make this an amazing blower.

Here are the Stihl backpack blowers that are currently listed for sale on Ebay. I’ve found some great deals there in the past. If you aren't already a member of eBay, you need to go to the registration page before you can bid, buy, or sell anything.
