Weight to Power: B+

The FS90s fall behind the 100RX, but still have a lot of power and torque. However, they are 1 pound heavier---and yes, it is noticeable.

Comfort: B+

Comfortable and well balanced with low vibration and noise. A smooth trimmer.

Durability: B+

This trimmer uses the 4-mix engines, which are holding up very well. After one initial valve adjustment at about 100 hours, it is a low maintenance unit.

Ease of Start: B+

Like the FS100, one or two pulls and it fires right up. If not, check the valves.

Value for Money: A

These units are about $30 to $40 less than the FS100 and can accept attachments. With a great resale value, they are a great buy for under $300.

Stihl Trimmers on Ebay

Here are the Stihl trimmers that are currently listed for sale on Ebay. I’ve found some great deals there. And I've sold a ton of old equipment through it.

If you aren't already a member of eBay, you need to go to the registration page before you can bid, buy, or sell anything.
