Weight to Power: A

The new 4 mix engines are very smooth and very powerful. I like them more than Stihl's two cycle engines.

Comfort: B+

Smoother and more comfortable than the FS80. The FS100RX has very low vibration, is quiet, and very torquey for cutting debris.

Durability: B

While a tough unit, this 4 mix engine does require a valve adjustment after a couple hundred hours. This is easy to do yourself if you are even a little mechanical.

Ease of Start: B+

This machine should fire up on 1-2 pulls. If not, check valves for adjustment.

Value for Money: B

The Stihl name has a long tradition in producing great products. The Stihl FS100RX is great trimmer, but doesn't come cheap. It will be interesting to see how the new 4 mixes hold up in the long run.

Stihl Trimmers on Ebay

Here are the Stihl trimmers that are currently listed for sale on Ebay. I’ve found some great deals there. And I've sold a ton of old equipment through it.

If you aren't already a member of eBay, you need to go to the registration page before you can bid, buy, or sell anything.
