I bought a new Quest mower and have had to have it back twice now for the same issue and the is that when you pull the drive handles in to go the motor dies. The shop has filed open the brake switched but that has resulted in the mower not tracking straight.
Also I wonder how many folks out there are charged $55.00 for an oil change.... helium

Having owned Craftsman and Husqvarna previously, my 2008 Exmark Quest is far and beyond the best mower with the cleanest cut I've ever achieved. I always make sure the pressure in the rear tires is 14 psi. I live in southeast Texas and have a very lush San Augustine lawn and mow about every 6 days in growing season. I never see uncut grass reamaining in a cut path. I keep the deck at 2.5" or 3".
My only beef with Exmark is their apprehensiveness to confidently recommend replacement fluids and the like.

I have problems with my Exmark Quest also. Every time I mow my deck clogs to the point it misses all kinds of grass. Every few passes I have to dig out half a garbage bag of grass from the deck. I've had it back to the dealer and they say nothing is wrong. I want to love my exmark but this makes it hard. My grass is not wet and although I know it has clover in it, there's no way it should clog the way it does. Someone said try gator blades, but I hate to throw money at a $5000 mower just to get it to cut grass.

I don't know about a 2008 exmark quest BUT I bought a 2010 exmark quest 48 inch cut with the 22 horse engine and it's by far the best mower I've ever seen or used...
