Hustler Fastrak Superduty 2009 Mower Review

Spent $900 for a 200 hour service, two pulleys were shot as the bearings had failed. The hour meter was not working after the service.

The mower was used for approximately another 15 hours when (while mowing) the 5/8" bolt that secures the clutch fell out along with the entire clutch package. The clutch is completely worn out -less than 220 hours.

The mower is 5 years old, but parts don't wear out in the garage(or in this case, maybe they do).

This mower is advertised as "Professional mowing comes home"; a more fair statement might be "A $6000 mower that is GUARANTEED to last at least 200 hours!

I am unable to sell this mower as I cannot pass junk onto the next sucker.

The dealer is a "Gold Star" Hustler dealer-I shudder to think what "lesser" dealers do.

I am a homeowner that mows approximately 3 hours per week-I suggest NOT purchasing Hustler mowers.

The mower looks great, has a decent cut and works well but it is obviously made with inferior parts-too bad, as I'll NEVER purchase another Hustler product. Junk, junk, junk. Might as well bought a "throwaway" mower at a box store.

Previous comments were mostly negative-add this: oil outlet o-ring leaking, engine base gasket leaking, one hydro pump leaking 245 hours.Buy one of these mowers and you got 'hustled'.Also, the clutch will be replaced within the next 3 weeks(less than 275 hours)-a commercial mower for the homeowner!
