Hustler Raptor 42 inch 2014 Mower Review

by T Blaney
(Morriston FL)

I bought a Hustler Raptor July 2014 as I have been unable to cut my grass w/the older style rider mower that would take me about 8 hrs to cut 1 & 1/2 acres now I am finished in 2 hrs.

I told my wife I would of liked to have a mower like this 25 years ago. I actually enjoy cutting grass now.

Falls short on quality and function NEW
by: MacheteMan

Been a Landscaper for 24 yrs. here on Maui, Machete Man Landscaping LLC. I would only recommend the Raptor model for the average small lawn home owner. Anything more than that this machine falls short. I've had the drive belt break, and it's a hard fix for the average home gardener. The deck fell off in the first hours. Now I've had the blade belt break for the second time. I've only used it less than 50 hours total. I would never purchase another one.

Raptor SD no better NEW
by: Joe VAnonymous

My raptor SD 54 inch was in for six serious repairs from only 10 hours use until at 95 hours the right side transmission literally fell off in the yard.

It took a week for hustler to even admit it was not my fault and the additional weeks are flying by waiting on a replacement or to fix mine.

Terrible quality NEW
by: joe

I have 55 hours on my raptor 52 in cut and I will be taking it into the shop for the 5th time. All under warranty, but no mower should be rendered useless every 10 hours. Spend the extra money and buy something one can actually use. If you are wondering, one side of my deck fell off, a blade fell off (factory installed), levers bent, belt snapped after 6 hours, and now the pto will not disengage.
